Don't try and conserve ammo on secondary weapons, they're cheap to restock at bases. Sticky turrets are nice to set up an ambush, and a damage booster can turn any weapon into a beast. Use asteroids for LOS if something is out-ranging you or you need to block incoming missiles, and don't be afraid to burn consumables they're cheap and plentiful. This will let you take out drones and scouts before anything can even reach you. Try and pack a long range weapon like a railgun or marksman coil gun and get good at aiming them. It's almost always possible to peel off a few targets at a time in an encounter so that you don't get overwhelmed, and knowing which targets to pick off before the dogfight starts is hugely important (sniper, armor, and webber drones should be dead before the main fight starts). Controlling your engagements and using all the tools available to you is key. I've found the EA for 2 to be quite easy but I went in with everspace 1 knowledge. With its ULT, it can reset all device cooldowns, release a swarm of bots that damage locked-on targets, and restore hull and armor when they return.> Also, I never played Everspace 1 as i'm not interested in the rogue-lite gameplay so i'm completely fresh into this series. Furthermore, activating devices adds a primary weapon hardpoint temporarily, effectively increasing DPS for the duration. Thanks to its Device Master special ability, all devices on this ship automatically gain one device upgrade level, making it easier to master devices and unlock their bonus modes. The Stinger is a light-class ship that specializes in the utilization of devices. If you're looking for a ship with decent defense that doesn't shy away from the heat of battle, the Striker is the one for you. With its ULT, it can turn a target into a tether anchor that connects to five nearby enemies who receive the damage dealt to the target. Its special ability increases weapon damage for each enemy within 500 meters of its radius up to a maximum of 30%. The Striker excels amid battle against swarms of enemies. The Ranger's special ability allows it to gain 4% bonus damage for every 100 meters distance from a target. The Scout is a light-class ship that specializes in sniper-like gameplay styles. It might be the slowest of all ships in the game, but it makes up for its lack of maneuverability with a devastating arsenal of weaponry. For its ULT (Ultimate,) it deploys an automated turret that fires projectiles at nearby enemies for a particular duration, which means you can fire at enemies with your primary and secondaries, even with the ULT activated. It comes equipped with two additional primary weapon hardpoints, effectively doubling all damage it dishes out. Gunships trump all other ships in Everspace 2 when it comes to raw DPS and heavy tanking abilities. ![]()
